Hello Small Winegrowers. Welcome to our new community forum. We hope this forum is a valuable resource for you, in addition to the resources provided during our monthly meetings. As an icebreaker, please introduce yourself to the community. You can provide as little or as much information as you want. For starters, here are some questions to answer as part of your introduction:

1. Your name
2. City
3. Do you have a vineyard and if so, how many acres?
4. What varietals do you grow or plan on growing and how many vines?
5. Do you make your own wine and if so, what kind?
6. What do you hope to learn or gain from being part of the Small Winegrowers Association?

Hi everyone, my name is Kiry. My wife, Sabrina, and I help Greg run and organize the Small Winegrowers Association, and we’ve met some of you at our monthly meetings. We were recently asked to step in for Tonia, who is still involved but handing over the reins as she focuses on her move.

We joined the group a couple of years ago after I started a small vineyard in Riverside and realized how valuable local resources could be. I began with 80 vines across four varietals—Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Grenache, and Muscat Canelli—and recently added 20 more Muscat Canelli vines. As someone new to viticulture and winemaking, the MSJC courses taught by Greg and Kristina were incredibly helpful, and I highly recommend them.

Over the past few years, I’ve been making my own wine, with several entries earning Double Gold, Gold, and Silver at the OC Fair Amateur Wine Competition. It’s been a rewarding learning experience, and I hope the association’s resources are just as valuable to you.
